The stage set for a musical play by Esther Flückiger that premiered in the Sala Uno theatre in Rome before performances in the Palazzina Liberty in Milan and finally in the famous Gare du Nord theatre in Basel. The main features of the huge set were a mute film, recorded at twilight from a moving train, developed in sepia colour and projected onto the backdrop for the duration of the performance; a huge transparent piece of gauze in the centre of the stage onto which the narrative texts were projected; and a circle of leaves on the stage, which we collected in the Sempione park in Milan.
